How a better Google profile gets you more roofing leads
Your Google Business Profile is a big part of whether a homeowner ever finds your roofing company online. Here's why that matters and how this tool helps.
-
Homeowners search Google first
When a homeowner needs a new roof or repair, the first thing they do is search "roofer near me" on Google.
-
The top 3 get the calls
Google shows 3 local businesses right at the top of the search page or on the map. The roofers in those 3 spots get most of the clicks and phone calls.
-
Your profile decides who Google shows
Which businesses Google picks for those 3 spots comes down to your Google Business Profile — how complete it is, your reviews, your photos, recent activity. The score above shows you exactly what to fix to get there.

Frequently asked questions
Eight factors that Google has publicly confirmed as local ranking signals: profile completeness, photo library, review volume, star rating, review engagement, online presence (NAP signals), primary category, and recent activity. Each factor is weighted by how much it affects where you show up in Google's local results.
Either the listing is unverified, or the business name and city don't match what Google has on file. Try the exact name shown on your Google Business Profile, then drop the city. If that fails, the profile probably hasn't been claimed yet. Claim or create one at google.com/business first.
Google's public Places API only returns up to 10 photos per place. If you have more than 10 on your actual profile, the audit gives you partial credit (it assumes you have around 25). The score won't penalize you for being above the API ceiling.
No. This is a third-party audit using public Google Places data. Google does not publish a single ranking score, and no one outside Google can. The score and recommendations here are based on factors Google has publicly confirmed are part of local ranking, weighted by industry consensus on impact.
Once a month is plenty. Most ranking signals (reviews, photos, posts) take days or weeks to register. Running it weekly mostly just shows noise.
